I just love to use a monochromatic interior design in any home. Monochromatic meaning : “For an image, the term monochrome is usually taken to mean the same as black and white or, more likely, grayscale,” (taken from Wikipedia)
When using black, white and grey in this way there’s something extremely restrained about not veering from the purity of a limited colour palette. It can be both rewarding and challenging. However stick to the chosen design palette and the outcome is a room with a dramatic impact, yet seriously relaxing to live in.
I’ve been lucky enough to work with a client recently who agreed to a monochromatic design. Below is my design for his room and plenty of monochromatic inspiration to get you thinking about pulling back on the bright colours and making way for a seriously interesting design.
